Other News:

SF Gold will be moving their practices to the Mountlake Terrace Facility beginning the first week in February.

Ken Wong is organizing a new men's team, SF Purple, aimed at the improvement of individuals and making efforts toward late season tournaments. Please see the SF Purple page for more information.

SF Gold WILL be going to Nationals this year. A big "thanks" to Lynne, Laura, Todd, and Mo for their continued fund-raising efforts for this and other worthwhile projects. There is still a strong chance that SF Pink will also be heading to Atlanta in June for the National tournament. Good luck to both teams.

The IRS has sent us confirmation that they received our application for 501(c)3 status and is currently reviewing the documentation we sent them. Thanks Ken for the "Hurculean" efforts in this area.

The SFVBC Members Handbook is now on line! Handbook

NEW: The "Player Profile" section is ready and waiting... someone please take the initiative to photograph a teammate and send us the pic along with some info to print. Let's start adding to this section right away.

Digs and Aces:

ACE ~ Kudos go to all the members of the organization who have taken the time and made an effort to watch and cheer on their fellow 'clubmates' at tournaments thus far in the season. This is just one way in which each of us can help support the volleyball community at large and more specifically, our own club. Thanks for being there.

Dig ~ To those of us who DON'T fall into the category above. Shame on us for not showing more support for our fellow players while they give their full out energies on the court. Let's make an serious effort to show more support in the future.

ACE ~ To Logo Lori, who has done so much for our club with her willingness to handle our 'last minute' orders for uniforms and printing. Thanks Lori, the StrikeForce Volleyball Club appreciates you!

ACE ~ To all the "practice buddies" who come out each week to help our teams practice. We couldn't do this without you. Thanks ladies and gents!

Dig ~ To any of us who are not following procedure if we have an issue with a teammate or coach. The player's handbook outlines proper procedures to help minimize any ill-will. Let's try it, eh?

ACE ~ To the coaches! Agree or disagree with them... but we ALL know what a thankless job it can be! Moreover, we also know that the coaches are here to help each of us become better players. Thanks to each of you!

ACE ~ To our number one fan, Mrs. Susan Vestal (Marie and Bill's mom), who comes to more watch the club play, compete, and develop. Thanks for cheering us on!

Well gang, that's it for this newsletter.
