Hey there gang.

I have a request to put out to anyone interested. If this is of interest to you, then great… please contact me immediately.

Or… If you KNOW of anyone who might be interested, please forward this on to them. Thanks a bunch gang.

First though, let me say, that this email DID NOT go out to “just everyone”. I pulled your name because I consider you to be a person who has something to offer other adult players and that you might consider giving back to the adult volleyball community. That being said…

The Indoor Season is almost upon us once again!

StrikeForce Volleyball Club is looking for coaches for our adult teams.

Here, within the Puget Sound Region, there is a TON of experience and talent that could greatly benefit other adults. One of the main goals of the SFVBC is to pass along the knowledge and experience that us “old farts” have gained over the years to up and coming players or for that matter, ANY player who wishes to improve.

The coach’s positions this year are paid (small monthly stipend of $200-$300) depending on the experience of the coach.

The responsibility would be to attend one monthly meeting of all coaches within the SF organization, to attend and run one weekly practice with his/her team, and to attend as many tournaments as do not interfere with the coach’s own playing schedule.

We will try to assist in finding a team “helper” or “assistant coach” as well. These positions are unpaid ones and are to help the team coach in whatever means possible.

Please contact me directly either via email or at my cell phone (both listed below) as soon as possible.

Other News:

·       I am informed that the StrikeForce VB Club website is near completion. This will greatly aid in disseminating information as well as being an email hub for the SF coaches and administrators.

·       When we closed the last indoor season, we had 3 men’s and 3 women’s teams. This year, the plan is to have at least that many teams again.

·       In mid-September, Kevin C. will be filing our paperwork for “non-profit” status.

·       A typical SF team season includes practices from Oct 1st through Regionals in April or May, at least 2 tourneys a month from December through Regionals, the opportunity to go to Nationals if the team so wishes, an end of year team party, and the end of year “All-SF Banquet” where MVP’s and special player recognitions are made.

I look forward to hearing from you and to yet another fun season.
